How does it work?
Choose a masterwork, send us one clear photo of the two of you, and add to cart. We paint your faces into the painting in the manner of that master and send the finished artwork by email. If you ordered a canvas, it is then printed, stretched and shipped to you ready to hang.
What photo works best?
Faces close together, level with each other, and clearly lit. Front facing works better than profile. Phone photos are fine. Up to four people can be painted in, though two is where the effect is strongest.
Is the original photo visible in the artwork?
No. Your faces are built from the painting's own brushwork, so up close it reads as the painting. Step back and the two of you emerge. It is a painting of you, not a photo filter over a photo.
What do I receive with the digital file?
A high resolution file by email, suitable for printing at any size or keeping on a screen. No watermark, no subscription, yours to keep.
Can I see it before it is printed?
Yes. Every canvas order receives the digital artwork by email first. Reply with anything you would like changed before it goes to print.
What happens to my photo?
It is used only to create your artwork. We do not show it, sell it or reuse it for anything else.
Which size should I choose?
16x16 suits a hallway, a desk or a bedside wall and reads clearly from a few feet away. 24x24 is the statement size for above a sofa, a bed or a mantel, where stepping back to find the two of you becomes part of the room.
